By the way Ozzie, Austrailian rules football, while incomprehensible to me (one notch down from cricket) is pretty cool, I respect the guys that play that game, if they could gain about a 100 pounds they would fit right in the NFL, they definitely have the right mindset.

Ozzie, Fred Franz couldn't carry my jock, he was banished from football paradise and declared a false prophet.

Are you a fixer?
by jeanniebeanz inare you a fixer or a buyer?.
when i was a little kid, i mean from about four-years-old, i was fascinated with what made things tick.
mom knew better than to leave me alone without something really interesting to figure out.

My father was the Uber Fixer. He was like Dr. Frankenstien with our lawnmower, he kept that thing alive way past what was natural. I like to buy, but when it needs assembled I love to put it together, and without the help of the instructions. Resorting to the instructions is like a personal sign of weakness.

Mel, in 1976 when I put on my first set of pads and strapped on my first helmet, the invisible presence of the Lord of Football began, and I was chosen as the channel to dispense the proper food in due season.

Triathletes? Anyone?
by Princess ini was surprised at the number of people who popped in with running advice for vitty.
i didn't realize we had so many runners on board here.
i'm getting ready for my first triathlon next month and find myself wondering if we have any triathletes around here..... i have wanted to complete a tri ever since i ran the 1/2 marathon portion on a tri relay 1/2 ironman in 2003. i've shied away from them because the swim totally freaks me out.

Ozzie, you make a point, I think that artificial turf is the work of the debil and should be outlawed by constitutional amendment. The games I enjoy the most are the ones played in the rain and mud, where after each play you get up picking clumps of grass and mud out of your cage, you are soaked to the skin, and everybody's uniform is the same color of mud.
Valis, that picture just brings joy to me on so many levels.

Where is Cold Red Rain? His Vikings are being talked about as legitimate threats to go deep in the playoffs and maybe even the Superbowl though I am having a tough time buying that.
Good points about NE, if they can put it together this year with the coaching changes, losing Bruschi, I will really have to tip my hat to them.
